Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop (1)

Follow Friday and the Book Blogger Hop are for bloggers to discover new blogs and socialize throughout the community. Welcome to anyone stopping by for the first time! This is my first time participating in either of these memes.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View.

What is the book you are currently pushing?

I am pushing both Poison Study and The Maze Runner right now. I enjoyed these books so much and need more people to discuss them with. Particularly The Maze Runner. I mean, what does it all mean!? I am eagerly awaiting The Death Cure, which is the third book, it does not release until the Fall. This is as torturous for me as waiting for the final season of LOST to premiere was.

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-for-Books.

What are you reading now and why are you reading it?

Tonight I will be starting Across the Universe (assuming amazon's estimated delivery time is correct and the mail does not fail me) and is it really a surprise that I'm picking this one up? I feel as though everyone with a book blog has read this book by now. I loved the concept when I first came across it and all of the hype has only pushed it to the top of my to-read list. I cannot wait to start it and possibly spend the weekend enveloped in it. I'm a huge fan of waking up to coffee and a book. I'd also like to make pajamas a 24-7 wardrobe option, please.

Leave a comment below if you've followed me and I will follow you back! Looking forward to reading everyone's answers to this week's questions.

And I am your newest follower! Hope you will stop by my blog and say hello!

  6. Hey, just hopping by. Looks like you're a Buffy fan from your currently reading list, or at least of the comic books. I so miss the show, but couldn't quite get into the comics.

  9. I'm your newest follower! Hopping by to check in; visit in turn if you can.

The book I'm pushing is Fatty Legs, a terrific story of a girl's unbroken spirit in the face of hostility and alienation.

You can read my review of it here:

  10. Hi, just hopping on by! I've heard so much about The Maze Runner, and it's on my to-read list. I probably should bump it up though, given how much hype there is about it! I've also heard a great deal about Across the Universe, so I hope you like it!

  14. Hi Stephanie! Thanks for stopping by.... I did push the Maze Runner a bit with some of my friends... It was definitely one of the few books that I recommended recently!

Good luck with your non-fiction review... I have to say that it can get quite tough.... At least for me, since I am reading about such a difficult subject!

  19. Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

  26. I can't wait to read Across the Universe. I love science-fiction. I just finished reading Inside Out by Maria Snyder - less of a love story it sounds like, but definitely a dystopian sci-fi, trapped on a ship story.

I'm a librarian, and I always have a ridiculous number of books checked out... and an even more ridiculous number of books on hold.

I'm in the middle of reading what seems like half-a-dozen things at the moment!
Just started reading Trickster's Girl by Hilari Bell
Still poring through Fantasy: An Artist's Realm by Ben Boos
The Great Wall of Lucy Wu by Wendy Wan-Long Shang, which I'm reading for the 2011 Debut Authors Challenge. Plus, I'm reading Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves, but only a few pages at a time, because it is even scarier and more intense than I had expected!

I'm tempted to put them all aside for the moment though, and start reading Delirium, which I've been eager to read for a while.

  28. I own both of those books and haven't had the time to read them. My friend was talking about Poison Study and I told her about the Maze Runner, but I don't think either one of us has read the other books.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I look forward to reading more of your reviews.
